Backstory:
Lina Inverse has been called "Bandit Killer", "Dragon Spooker", "flat-chested", and "The Enemy of All Living Things", but one would have to be insane to say such to her face. Instead, she likes to think of herself as "the beautiful genius sorceress, Lina Inverse!" The mere mention of her name has been known to send people (and even dragons) running in pure terror, despite her small stature. Much like Robin Hood, she steals from the bandits, but she does so out of sheer boredom and gives the money to herself.
Her specialty is Black Magic, though she has studied many different schools of magic and is known far and wide for being one of the most powerful spellcasters ever to appear in her world. No less than twice has she defeated major Lords of Darkness, not counting several other times when she's mowed down demons or been called to other times or dimensions to right wrongs. For a price, of course. After one such climatic battle on modern-day Earth, she celebrated by raiding one of this world's all-you-can-eat buffets, and decided to stay here for a while. Curious to see what the spellcasters of this day and age can come up with, she decided to teach upper-level classes at St. Catherine's after a hefty salary and sampling some of the local cuisine.
